Your Support is Essential

For the last 70 years Virginia Polo has grown and thrived because of the generous gifts from alumni, parents, and supporters.

There are many ways to support Virginia Polo, from monetary gifts, to volunteer time on the board or coaching, to donating polo ponies to the club. Did you know each horse a student plays was donated by a supporter?

When you give, it’s your choice where you would like your gift used:  

Endowment Fund: This fund supports the overall financial health of the club, gifts to the endowment ensure the longevity of VA Polo. If you would like to be a part of ensuring future generations will be able to enjoy the Virginia Polo experience, this is the fund for your gifts.

Operating Fund: Gifts to this fund go towards the day-to-day running of the facility, fencing, maintenance of the structures and equipment, fuel, team travel costs, etc.

Rinehart Polo Pony Fund: If the horses are where your heart is, and you care most about their wellbeing this is the fund for you! All donations to the Polo Pony Fund are used exclusively to care for the horses, from vet & farrier bills to feed and blankets. A gift to this fund supports the heart of Virginia Polo, our excellent string of ponies!

Donate a Pony: All ponies on the Virginia Polo string are donated and come from all over the country. Your donated pony could be the next Best Playing Pony at an I/I tournament or a players’ favorite mount! With our club growing, we are in need of ponies for all levels of players.

All gifts are tax-deductible and fully credited through the UVA Alumni Association.
